Thanks to some very helpful and generous people on this forum I managed to successfully install OCLP Monterey on my 3,1 on a hd. I just got a ssd and went through a long and trying re-install of OCLP Monterey onto the ssd, and then when you get your ONE chance to copy your data from your old system at the end of the install I chose time machine which did theoretically successfully transfer my time machine bu of my Monterey hd onto the ssd.
But when I try to boot into the ssd I get the endless boot loop. So I option start into the ssd efi, then choose the ssd monterey OS drive, then get the apple logo which goes about halfway and then reboots by itself. Endlessly.
I can boot off of the hd monterery, but monterey and it's programs are pretty cumbersome and slow on a hd, even though it's 7200rpm. Hence the desire to utilize the ssd.
Any wise words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
