3.1 update takes less space

Not sure if this has been posted but I found this and found it to be quite intersting I did a restore and updated to 3.1

I was happy to see that the capacity on the iPhone 3G actually is more now as the OS itself seems to take up around less than a GIG of space.

Before when I first got my iPhone 3g on firmware 3.0 (yes I bought a 3g instead of a 3gs I have my reasons) it was around 6.XX something GB of space as the capacity.

Anyone else notice this?

Must have been something up with your 3.0 install, cause my iPhone still has 3.0 and it shows my capacity as 7.08GB.

then it was bad at the factory installation of the OS cause that was what it had been originally out of the box was 6.4GB of capacity.

Mine has always been over 7 GB
