3.5 Sata hd in Atv

I know when you clicked on the thread you wanted to say, you can't do that dummy...

I know it wont fit, but lets just say if it did.. what could I use?

I noticed people putting 2.5 sata drives, but I would like to connect a 1tb 3.5 internal hd to the Atv.

Any 3.5 sata drive. However, that does not change the fact that it does not fit.

How is a 3.5 sata drive going to fit when the atv is PATA? I know I'm going to need a adapter, but not sure since 2.5 sata stuff is different than 3.5 right?

Well, since apparently we both identified that the drive (whether sata or pata) will not physically fit. If it were me (which it has been) I personally would go with the atv eSata mod since obvioulsy it has to be external. Other than that I guess you have limited options.
