I am a developer and I stare at the screen for hours.
Yotemite UI screwed me up. So I made the following changes :
1. Dark Theme
2. Remove transparency
3. cDock 3D Yotemite Theme

I tried a lot of settings and these 3 changes have helped me a lot!

Personally, I feel the OS is made for cartoon characters with the color and menubar icons. I hope they make it more professional with the next release.

Out of curiosity, what do you feel reducing transparency adds to the experience. already using the dark theme and love it!

So when you have multiple apps open and you keep switching between them, after sometime you remember the color of the app window(borders and menu) and it makes it easy to recognize the content.
But with transparency, the color of the window depends on the color of the app open behind it! I hope I am clear :)
