My previous phone prior to getting my 3gs was a Blackberry Curve. We all know that BB's are very good when it comes to email integration. I'm not expecting the iPhone to be at that level - yet - but 3 clicks to access my email? Thats way too many (Mail->account-Inbox> - especially when checking more than one account.

I have 4 email accounts set up on my iPhone. Every time I hear the new email notification sound, trying to figure out which of those accounts has the new email is no easy task.

I don't understand why Apple doesn't take Rim's approach, and just have a one click access to a page that will show me ALL of my emails from all accounts on one single page. That way with one click, I can see all my new emails. Instead of trying to figure out which of my accounts actually is the one triggering the new email notification.

I hear your pain, but obviously Apple can care less. The poor email implementation and the lack of a today screen are two HUGE oversights by Apple. They are two things that keep me looking at other alternatives.

Yeah, after being a former BB & Pre user, I am very disappointed with the way my new iPhone does this. I didn't appreciate all the customization that the BB had in this area until now (like a different notification tone for each email account).

i agree 100%... i was so fed up that started my own thread about this today. i am a recent blackberry pearl convert so this is killing me too. maybe there are some iphone apps that can help solve the problem? i havent found any yet. right now there are jsut too many clicks to flip between email accounts. way too many....

It just seems like it should be such an easy implementation to allow you to see all email in one view, just like Apple's own Mail client does on the desktop! Or how bout this, if you have a mail indicator, click and hold on the mail icon and a pop up menu appears with the account it's from. you slide to that account name, let go and it opens to that inbox! Now that's what a smartphone should be doing.
