Do I need my receipt when I go the the apple store, I have 3 dead pixels on my iPad and would like it replaced. I need to know because I'm heading over there and can't find it at the moment, though I have the box and everything else.
 
you'll need to make an appointment with a macdummy first. then they will assess your issue. you won't need your receipt.
 
My first iPad on launch day had a bright red pixel right in the center of the screen. They immediately took it back and said it was the first return they'd had that day. Not really a surprise given they'd only been open 3 hours. :)

The second iPad they gave me had several huge bits of dust under the screen.

They then gave me a third iPad with only one small speck of dust. At that point they just gave me a fourth which was perfect.

Stay on them, they will give you a good iPad eventually.
