You can't use small or irregularly sized discs in an slot-loading drive.

You have to use an external or use another computer.

this is the first slot load i've run across that has problems :apple:

Current CD-ROM drives use either a tray-loading mechanism, where the disc is loaded onto a motorized or manually operated tray, or a slot-loading mechanism, where the disc is slid into a slot and drawn in by motorized rollers. Slot-loading drives have the disadvantage that they cannot usually accept the smaller 80 mm mini CDs or any non-standard sizes; however, the Nintendo Wii seems to have defeated this problem, for it is able to load standard size DVDs and 80mm GameCube discs in the same slot-loading drive.

From Wikipedia: Here.

It's mentioned in the manual btw.

eh
now i know for sure for sure
it jammed the drive, and i was sure i'd have to take apart the MBP (at 2 weeks old) to get it out. instead, i put another cd in and it spit them both out :D

so...don't try 3 in. cds. And maybe don't try my method of removal. Nothing got scratched, though.
