I own a 15" 2017 MacBook Pro.
My control and B button doesn't work properly (They work if I press multiple times or very hard). As I live in Denmark I can't take it directly to an apple store (we have none, only resellers). The reseller is telling me the turn around for fixing the keyboard is 3 weeks, and they have to have the machine the entire time!
This is my work computer so I have tried fixing it in various ways (that apple recommend).
I am forced to lug around an external keyboard everywhere I go. I can't believe that the burden is on the customer, considering that this (where I live) is a $4000 machine!

I am sorry for the rant.

Well you are not the only one, i also use it for work and i had multiple problems with my 2017 MBP keyboard. I will open a detailed thread maybe next week with all i went through.
Currently again in service for the 3rd time, just left it there yesterday and takes about a week to order and replace the top casing.
We also don't have Apple shops in Ireland, but we have AASP's here, so that's not a problem.

One of the companies I am consulting for, had a certified apple re-seller come to their office and replace all the keyboards (unfortunately not mine). They have about 10 developers and 8 had a keyboard defect in one way or another (all on 2016 and 2017 models).

Check local laws. Where I live, if a device is going to take more than 14 days in warranty repair, the reseller is required to provide a replacement unit for free till the repair is done.
