3 x 27" Apple Cinema Displays

Is anyone running this setup? If so, do you have any pictures of your setup? I am about to upgrade to a 2011 Mac Pro and am looking to go the three display route. I currently have dual 30" cinema displays and even though I love them and have been using them since 2008. I am retiring them to our office and upgrading my main machine to a new Mac Pro.

You are right, my mistake.

Is the cable on the 27" very short? I keep hearing this, do most people running multiple 27" cinemas use an extension for the cable?

Jealous much? It's not a waste of money if someone has a use for it. Having multiple displays is a necessity for some and an obvious waste for others, but judging on what ones needs are on a forum is a waste of time.

Agreed. I've got 8MP real estate myself and occasionally it's not sufficient.

The productivity increase due to larger displays is fact. Enough said!

Jealous? Hardly. I know I can get the same Mac with the same specs for far less by being smarter and buying not from Apple.

Now as per the displays, there are other options out there better and cheaper perhaps.

I couldn't agree more. I love my dual 30" Cinemas. I can't wait for 3 x 27" Cinemas. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I got used to it fast and have become so much more productive.

You are now starting to sound like a narrow minded penny pitching nine to fiver that is a more of a Mac hobbyist then true power user. Jokes aside, the only thing you could probably save on would be the ram and ssd. The displays are subjective, many people like to have matching displays. Ordering bare bones from Apple and piecing together for some is more costly then ordering it all from Apple and having a ready to use system out of the box. Many of us expense these machines from businesses and could care less about saving $500 here and there. This is a personal opinion and you are entitled to your own, but keep an open mind as to why others do things differently then you.

A business cares to save. All of them do, but in the name of easiness and quick setup some costs are saved. However, the average consumer does not need this and would rather save some $ for later. Money doesn't grow on trees.

Who are you to say I am not a power Mac user? Have you ever read my posts outside the iPhone forum?

Also, there is many places you can save aside from RAM and SSD.

I don't see the "I am an average user so recommend me a system" statement.

Why do people always try to complain about user's setups that are a little bit more than normal ones? Believe it or not, but some people do actually work with their computers! And who are you to evaluate the work requirements for other people?

Seriously, I don't get it!

Everything what was asked here is for pictures of a triple 27" setup and maybe some recommendations from persons who run this setup. Where's the problem?
