Would it be able to push two 1440p display? Also does this mean it is necessary to purchase some kind of hub? This is a good result though. I wonder if the MacBook Air can do the same.

also I wonder if this is the case if I can then just Daisy chain my DisplayPort (I wanna say no).

Using a USB-powered DisplayLink adapter. That's it.

M1 chip's GPU only supports two total displays. One over the Thunderbolt bus, and one either internal (for the laptops) or over HDMI. On the Mini, if you want two displays from the M1's GPU, one has to be plugged in to the HDMI port.

The only other options are "software graphics" - SideCar to an iPad, AirPlay to an AppleTV, or DisplayLink. They use up CPU just running the display, generally don't perform well with 3D or fast-motion (video). They're generally fine for text, though.

So if I use the HDMI put for one monitor, can i use the displayport on a dock like the elgato for the 2nd display for the app, and then use a Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Monitor as a 3rd output for color grading, which would use the 2nd TB port.
