I am running a 30" ACD together with my MPro 5.1.

Would it be technically possible to run the 30" ACD on a G4 Cube?
What would be needed to make it feasible = What GPU is necessary?

If not, what would be the max resolution/ screen size to run the G4 Cube on?

You need a GPU with dual-link DVI. I’m not aware of any dual-link GPU that works reliably in a Cube. But others who have more experience will chime in :)

If you hook up a 30” ACD to a single-link DVI output, the only resolution that will work is 1280×800. This is a limitation of the 30” ACD itself.

Generally speaking, single-link DVI can do 165 MHz pixel clock, which is sufficient for e.g. 1920×1200 at 60 Hz, 2560×1440 at 41 Hz or 3840×2160 at 18 Hz using CVT-RB timings.

1920×1200 at 60 Hz would be the worst I can go with. Less would be such a pain for the eyes. 1920×1200 that is e.g. the screen size of a good 17" screen or a less good 21" I assume, right?

If you’re talking about desktop LCDs, that resolution is/was common on 22.5", 23" (about the same PPI as the 30" so text etc. will be about the same size; but hard to find these days) or 24". There was one 22" LCD with that resolution (Lenovo L220x) as well as a couple that were bigger than 24", up to 28" I believe.
If you’re talking about laptop LCDs, that resolution is/was common on either 15.4" or 17".

If you're worried about less than 60 Hz refresh, LCDs don't flicker. Lower refresh rates just make moving elements like dragged windows or the mouse cursor appear sluggish. I've seen refresh rates as low as 10 Hz. No flickering. But no fun either :)
