30" Apple Display going black with Mac flashed 7970

Hey guys,

I just flashed a Gigabyte HD7970 reference edition and when I plug in my 30" Apple Cinema Display with the dual-link DVI it boots up with the apple logo and after the progress bar finishes the screen goes black. I tried a lower res. monitor on the DVI and it works fine.

I can't see why this would happen. The DVI supports dual link (DL) I already scanned the forums but couldn't find any other instances. I'm using a 2009 Mac Pro dual 2.26, 32GB RAM. Thanks in advance

But the card works fine before flash?

Good question. I haven't tried it before the flash. I suppose there are no other reasons why it would do that. Maybe a bad connection or monitor?

One thing I've learned over the years before you modify anything video cards, out of band radios for ham use etc make sure it works first FYI
