A friend's Air has a smallish SSD drive; I went looking for space hogs.

Her library seems to consuming 30+ GB. I spent a few minutes with du -h trying to see why, to no avail.

(I did see all kinds of Mail stuff there; has Apple gone back to their OS8.5 days of putting mail in system-ish areas?)

Is the virtual memory file in there somewhere? Or should I keep looking for something huge?

My ~/Library folder is also about 30 Gigs, and about half of that is the ~/Library/Mail folder.
[doublepost=1465324665][/doublepost]If you want to find out what is taking up room on the hard drive, download and run the freeware Disk Inventory X:

http://www.derlien.com

You will have to temporarly reset your security settings in your system prefs to allow downloads from non-Apple developers to install it.
