I forgot to benchmark my iMac before installing 10.5.2 and the graphics update, but I ran CinebenchR10 with a Mac Mini, 1.66GHz Core Duo (Intel GMA 950 graphics, of course).
The results are:
10.5.1:
Rendering (Single CPU): 1648 CB-CPU
Rendering (Multiple CPU): 3076 CB-CPU
Multiprocessor Speedup: 1.87
Shading (OpenGL Standard) : 545 CB-GFX
10.5.2 (before graphics update)
Rendering (Single CPU): 1658 CB-CPU
Rendering (Multiple CPU): 3170 CB-CPU
Multiprocessor Speedup: 1.91
Shading (OpenGL Standard) : 663 CB-GFX
10.5.2 (after graphics update)
Rendering (Single CPU): 1670 CB-CPU
Rendering (Multiple CPU): 3175 CB-CPU
Multiprocessor Speedup: 1.90
Shading (OpenGL Standard) : 710 CB-GFX
So there's a 30% improvement with both updates applied (in this one benchmark ... it's hard to know how that translates into real life. I have no 3D games I can use to test, and I've updated both my Macs anyway).
Anyone else with benchmark comparisons?
