Hello, I'm having issues with my 5G iPod video. It was working perfectly until today. Now when I try to power it up, it boots to the Apple logo, I hear the hard drive engage several times and it doesn't go any further. Also, when connected to my iMac, it doesn't show up in iTunes at all. This may be of note, but even though it's attached to a power source, the dead battery symbol and the words 'Please Wait. Very Low Battery.' appear at random intervals throughout the process.

I have tried the Menu+Select trick and it just keeps the same cycle. Am I out an iPod?

I tried everything mentioned, unfortunately nothing worked... I have a feeling I need to buy a new iPod, unless anyone else may have an idea to throw my way.
