It would be so awesome if Apple updated their site at midnight to fool us all into thinking they weren't going to do anything for their anniversary. I am REALLY hoping... which is why I'm not going to bed for a couple hours. :)

They never promised us anything about a media event on 1. april. Many people just expected it, and therefor became dissapointed. Just like people were dissapointed by the Mini and Hi-fi, just because they expected more, though these were really cool products. We can only bláme ourselves.:(

Must agree, its a bit off of Apple to not take the Apple site down for a while - just to post an 'Apple is 30' or 'Thank You' message in big, black, bold Myriad.

Very strange.

I wasn't expecting MacBooks, Video iPods or anything like that until Tuesday..

1) Its a weekend
2) Apple LOVE their Tiesdays
3) It was April fools day - people might not have taken it seriously

Oh well I may be wrong, but if we don't get nothing Tuesday, or within the fortnight after.. then Apple are big party poopers!

what about the 20th anaversary mac. dont we get a 30th ?
You realize they sold that thing for $10,000 and it only had a 603e processor. The 20th Anniversary Mac was everything that was wrong with Apple in those days.

So I'd say that we get nothing for the 30th Anniversary and let Apple deal with getting the next batch of Intels hammered out instead.

I'm sure we'll hear about a Keynote soon, in which we will hear about some "exciting new products" hopefully they will be better than last time....personally i think the 30th anniversary edition mac won't be a mac but an iPod....

Guess we'll have to wait and see,

Shadow

... some new things are right around the corner.

For me, very low expectations always serves to keep disappointment at bay. On my shopping list is a computer, iPod, printer, selected software and furniture. I am patient and hope to start spending by end of May.

BTW: Nice avatar of Bond.

Don't worry, May and some nice new Apple products will both be arriving shortly.
