Various posts have indicated some issues but it is not apparent to me if these were user error or real incompatibilities. What works well? Are you happy with your solution? Please list refresh rate.
And if Thuunderbolt connection, what multi port extender used and cable?
And if yours has issues, please list the issues.

I have M1 Macbook Pro connected with Thunderbolt to Lenovo gen2 dock (Lenovo cable). Dock is connected to Samsung U32H850 4k display (3840x2160 60hz) with DisplayPort. No issues at all.

note: Macbook needs to be connected to charger, otherwise display won't turn on. But that's not an issue at least for me.

Thanks for the reply. To clarify, you mean this dock wont allow PD pass through?

I have an M1 MacBook Air connected to a 24 inch 4K monitor. It connects fine but I don't know if it's just me but it does not seem to be able to handle scaling properly. All the text on the 4K monitor has that fuzzy look to it if you try to run it at 1920x1080. You can run it natively at 4K but that obviously makes everything look tiny on a 24 inch screen! This is especially odd given that my 2016 base MacBook Pro could run one 4K monitor with DPI scaling at 60 Hz so its clearly capable.

I'm also not sure if this issue is particular to my monitor as it does seem that the LG ultra fine monitors seem to be running fine.

It does appear certain monitors have issues; this is why I made the thread.
