Grrr....I would love to pick one up - just can't justify the price (even at $349) for a phone I'll rarely use.

I'd still like to have a toe in the Android ecosystem though....had a Moto G for a while, but didn't like using it because of the lack of LTE (if/when I use it, I want to get the same connectivity experience as my other devices).

I'm waiting for the next Moto X, but this is a nice deal.

I'm loving my Moto X more and more and find myself reaching for it more than my 5C. Could see it as my daily driver.

Just that camera though... Though supposedly 4.4.3 brings camera improvements and it's being pushed out this week. Can't wait to get it.

How much do you plan on investing in Android again? I was also thinking of getting the Moto G but it was only compatible via prepay. Now I'm thinking the 16 GB one-plus one for $249 is the best deal (when it becomes available). Especially since you only want to dabble in Android a bit, you get the high end experience at a low end entry price.

Hmm - where are you buying it from? That's not a device that's coming to the states right?

I'm not really looking to invest heavily into Android again at this point. I've already got a year's worth in the ecosystem so there's stuff there if I want to go back. I'd just like a phone to mess with and to keep up with I/O each year.

Might just turn back to the Nexus 5 before they go away (if they go on sale)....what's support for it going to be like when Google shuts down the Nexus program? Will it still get quick updates? I suppose I could always flash any new Android versions that come out....

I actually had a Moto X and sold it, but I really miss it. I know a new one will be out in about 2 months, but this offer is tempting.

Is anybody else getting a "Not Available" for the 32Gb model, regardless of customization?

Edit: Nevermind, it's working again.

Edit 2: It actually is saying that 32GB option is not available for the T-mobile and Republic wireless version. I guess me and this deal were not meant to be.

If you buy an unlocked version (aka no carrier branding) it can be used on AT&T or T-Mobile, makes no difference. In fact, I am using a TMobile ROM with an ATT Sim card on mine. I have no idea about Republic Wireless, but if it is on a GSM network, it'll work.

Just get the Dev Edition. Its the same price.

Dev Edition is sold out and they're out of the unlocked versions.

Scrapped? I wouldn't call it scrapped. It is getting updated to the Moto X+1 in a few months.

If I bought an unlocked AT&T one, will it work with my T-mobile sim?

Edit: Nevermind, I don't want the AT&T version. Motorola needs to crack open the 16GB unlocked versions and update them to 32.

Best current deal on an unlocked Moto X?

TARGET: MOTO X - GSM UNLOCKED (United States).

The best deal I can find today (27-June-2014) on a GSM unlocked Moto X using Moto Maker is $349 for the 16GB model using the current educational discount promotion.

I can find a 16GB, GSM unlocked model on Amazon occasionally for $299. Anyone know of better deals out there? Need to make a purchase soon.

Thanks!
