360 backup games + iMac ?

This is really for people that know what I'm talking about and have tried it.

So I got a xbox 360 and I want to burn backups of a couple of games. Would the build-in dvd burner in my C2D 20" iMac (white) work with the Verbatim double layer discs.
I heard that the Pioneer has the best drive to burn them on, that's not an option for me.
I do have the latest firmware for my 360 by the way. (Hitachi Drive)

You'll have to mod your 360 (I'm not even sure that is possible) to play the games...

It's modded...I already have several backups working, but I didn't burn those myself.
But I just really need to know if it possible to burn them correctly on the iMac, otherwise I won't open the brand new pack of 20 DL discs and just sell them.

Xboxscene or the likes is your best bet. You might have to use bootcamp or parallels/fusion as those tools are generally for Windows.

I thought backing up games that you bought yourself is legal. Like if the original breaks and/or scratches to the point of no return. But what do I know?

And how would you prove you actually owned the game and not a rental? And that actually applies only to home movies that you made that you can actually make legal backups of. Games and movies are illegal to copy, I think you know that.

Where does he say he is illegally copying them? he just said he is using backups that someone else created. Where does it say that the backups are not copies of games he owns?

To OP: I have not tried this on my Mac so I cannot confirm if it works. I am also not sure if the drives in the Macs are DL.

I don't know if you own any PC/Mac/Xbox or PS2-3 games but read the software license and you will see. The OP never said anything about illegal copying, I said it is in fact illegal to make back up copies of games, that's why the software developers of the Xbox games create copy protection. Owning the game doesn't make it legal to make backups. The OP can do what he wants but I believe asking this on the forums is not appropriate.
