Hi folks

I want to draw a CAD diagram of a workbench I am designing. I'm good at software so have the skills but I don't need anything fancy, mainly just extrusion tools and rectilinear stuff. Can anyone recommend a suitable low cost CAD platform please?

Take a look at Shapr3d.com. It runs on iPads and Macs and Windows. I’ve been lusting after this for a while but haven’t had a use case yet. Looks like they have a free level for just two designs which might work for you. Even if you do the subscription you could use it just for one month then cancel.

Thanks very much for taking the time to share your suggestions. I'll investigate the options and see which one suits my needs best.
UPDATE
Blender - OMG all that for free, that's nuts! Unfortunately its just too much for my needs, the learning curve is steep.

Fusion 360 - The website alone put me off with different offerings in the UK to the US. Its cutting edge I know, but it felt complicated, so I skipped to see what else was available.

Shapr3d - Perfect, pricey but great for my needs. Downloaded it from the App Store, great tutorials built in, I'll get my desk designed in minutes.

Thanks again everyone.

As neutrino17 mentioned, shapr3D is good if you have an iPad.

This guy has pretty good videos on how to create furniture in 3D
