Update: done with the printing. Turns out sizing for hole was wrong so had to dig drill it.

Turned out pretty ok

Very cool. I'm printing out one from thingiverse tonight. Seems especially cruel as it will still be 4-5 weeks before I get my watch #

So far I've just been downloading designs. Haven't gotten into design yet, though the pace of getting my watch I could learn. Might keep my mind off the wait.

Now got to sand it and I guess paint it but not done that before so requires some investigation.

nice but i would prefer a 2 in one dock so i won't have too many cables going here and there and saves space. to each their own. :)

Yeah I'm slowly thinking about that. I'm not a big fan of phone stands unless they are very sturdy, and you have to find one that fits your phone case perfectly. Also, when your phone isn't connected, they take up more room than a cable. But yeah, personal preference, I may still give it a go. One thing I thought of was to drill a hole for the lightning cable in the watch stand, so the cable can retract when not in use and be pulled out at night.

Yup that's the reason why I designed my own dock so I can fit almot any case onto the dock. How much did you spent to get yours printed?

I've got a printer in my department at work (an enormous re:3D gigabot) which I have free use of which is nice!
