I see it's still there in 11.0.1. Is this also present on iPhone 8 Plus?

It's such a silly, easy thing to fix, and we all know that 7 Plus has enough horsepower to NOT have this stutter when opening 3D Touch menus.

If I was into conspiracy theories, I'd probably claim it's intentional.

11.0.1 was pushed to fix an Exchange email server bug.

I’m guessing we’ll see UI performance improvements in 11.1. :)

Why? They could certainly be part of it all.
It’s a .0.1 update just a week after the initial release. It’s more than likely focused on squashing some urgent bugs...not smoothing out the odd stutter.

Sure, bigger issues are higher priority, but all kinds of issues sometimes get fixed and their fix would be added into a release (even if it's mainly meant for some bigger issues).

We could go back and forth on this all night. OP is still seeing these stutters in 11.0.1, as am I, so clearly it didn’t fix them.

I offered my opinion on why they weren’t fixed, and I stick by my opinion that a .0.1 release so soon is unlikely to address performance issues with the UI, so we’ll just have to agree to disagree. :)

For what it's worth, I noticed the lag on my sister's 8 Plus, so I really doubt this issue is meant to push people to newer devices.

Yes, most probably some software BS that is on every phone even the new 8 from what I hear. I really regret upgrading my 7 Plus, wish I stayed on iOS 10...
Apple turned a phone, that most people have for less than a year, into something completely awkward and unpleasant...
Rather disappointing.

I'm pretty sure you can still downgrade to iOS 10, so do that while you still can if you really don't like iOS 11.

EDIT: Yup, still being signed according to https://api.ineal.me/tss/status.

No 3D lag on my iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 11.0.1. Nor was there on iOS 11 GM.

No lag on my 7+ running 11.0

iOS 11 on my 7 Plus is the smoothest system I've ever run. 3D Touch gestures work perfectly too.

I don't believe this, as every single phone I've seen running iOS 11 has the stutter when opening 3D touch menus, even simple one item ones. Some people are less sensitive to UI lag and don't notice it.

If you're adamant that you have a unicorn phone which doesn't do this, simply use the new screen recording function and post a video opening a few 3D touch menus on your home screen.

OK, now I see what you mean (since you clarified exactly where it occurs). Yes, there is a slight pause/stutter opening menus from the homescreen. I would probably not have noticed it without it being pointed out.
