3g 3.0 need help jailbreaking

I have ( 3g 3.0 Jailbroken, Tmobile, Base = 04.26.08 )
I used Quickpwn for jailbreaking

Now I want to jailbreak to 3.1.2. Plz advise best jailbreak prog, tutorial. Also what things I should be careful about.

Few thing I'm worried about losing
1. My phone was AT&T now its Tmobile unlocked.
2. I would like to keep this baseband 04.26.08, frankly i dont know anything abt basebands but I get the feeling I should hold onto the older baseband as long as I can.
3. Tmobile carrier setting. It was hard to make these work on my phone for MMS and other stuff. I know how to set them up but it felt like I was shooting arrows in the dark, it was blind luck I got it to work
4. I would like to continue to be able to tether to my iphone.

ok so just plug it into itunes hit restore, then restore and update. its gonna update it, but ur phones not gonna be jailbroken anymore, if you have an at&t sim card that came with it, great! use that to activate it, then go here http://blackra1n.com/ and click on the windows or apple logo, which ever computer u have, and then open it up, click make it ra1n, then after the message pops up on ur comp that says its been successfully jailbroken, you can exit out of blackra1n. on your iphone go to the blackra1n app, connect to a wifi network before though, then click sn0w, then in the top right click install. now you can use ur phone on tmobile. then download cydia if u want. also baseband doesnt really matter anymore, geohot has it all taken care of. to get tethering again go to cydia and add this source: apt.steffwiz.com and then go to search and type in tethering, and click on the one for 3.1 i think it is, or its for your iphone model, go to their website provided in the details of the app, and download the correct tmobile profile. now your all done, woo! took you 5 minutes to jb and unlock. also if you dont have an at&t sim anymore, use a friends or quickpwn might have an activating feature or pwnagetool or something. one of those has it. if not then try to find something else like ultrasn0w or something. good luck!

Why do you want to update? There are only a handful of apps that require 3.12, so it's probably not worth the hassle of updating IMO.

[E] If you do decide to update, it's as simple as restoring in iTunes, downloading blackra1n and hitting one button. You can [hopefully] figure out the rest from there.
