thinking about getting an unlocked 3Gs on a trip to Italy this spring, I presently have 2G unlocked with redsn0w running T-mobile unlimited internet. Will unlocked 3Gs get 3G on T-mobile here in US or just EDGE??? thanks.

EDGE only on t-mobile. t-mobile uses different 3G frequencies than the iPhones 3g chipset is allowed to accept.
Their 3G waves in Germany are different, and are compatible with the iPhone. I wish T-Mobile USA would change theirs.
