Since there have been numerous reports of 3Gs getting delivered early can we get some 3G Internet performance results posted now?

I imagine that 3G performance will be noticeably worse tomorrow night (and after) than today because there will be a lot more people using it at the same time then.

I always get fast and reliable 3G on my iPhone, so I expect the same with my iPad.

Well, I guess 1 is a number. :)

It is the loneliest number. Back on topic I would expect same performance as the iPhone, after the initial surge of people playing nonstop for the first couple of days with their new iPad.

It support for 7.2 Mbps HSDPA downloading, which is the same as the 3GS, but that is only if you live in one of the few cities that ATT has upgraded. If not, you are going to get the same 3.6 Mbps as the original iPhone 3G (if you are lucky). Nothing magical about the iPad 3G that would make it faster then 3GS in the best markets, or even the 3G in all the rest.

3.6 Mbps for iPhone 3G? I have never gotten above 2.8 Mbps on my 3Gs. But then again AT&T is a sad company when it comes to scaling. I'm sure if I had the tower all to myself I'd get those speeds.
