This is one of the questions from the front story on macrumors right now.

Q: 10 million iPhone sales goal...is a move to 3G technology affecting this forecast?
A: We don't comment on unreleased products, but we are of course always looking to roll out to more locations

Don't you think they kind of gave away the fact that the 3G iphone is coming for sure by saying "unreleased" products.

Apart from Jobs commenting on it previously, AT&T boss commenting on it previously...
It's a known given that 3G is coming. It isn't if, but when.

"You'll have it next year,"' according to AT&T Inc. Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson in 2007

September 18 2007: "I think we'll see that hopefully later next year." Steve Jobs

or try Jobs saying: "We are working on the next iPhone already, the one after that and the one after that." Who would have thought it...

The 3G iPhone was OBVIOUSLY coming at some point ever since the darn phone was announced. That's kind of like him revealing a few years ago that 802.11n would be in all Macs at some point. Nobody knows when, other than it's more than 90% sure to be this year. Most signs point toward May-July, but nobody outside Cupertino really knows.

I think Apple said this, the day the iPhone was told to the public.

Also, thats the standard answer if you ask about anything...its unreleased...that doesn't mean its going to be released soon, is ever.

An Apple car is unreleased, so Apple would comment on it.

Don't forget about Apple's software package in development to replace worthless employees called "iCongress." :)
