Hey everyone,

I'm Irish and in the states for the Summer. I'm thinking of picking up a 3G iPhone while I'm over here because of the strong conversion rate.

I would like to buy the iPhone and use my Irish sim card in it when I get home? I presume this is still possible? Will I run into any trouble when I go to buy it in the Apple store, will I need to activate it?

Thanks for all replies and advice,

Kev.

Thanks for the reply. Can someone please confirm this, will I need to get an At&T contract when I activate the iPhone?

Thanks guys,

Kev.

Also since you're from another country and don't actually have a residence in the USA, they will probably ask for an amount of money up front.
