3G issues today 10/13/09

I live in Suffolk County on Long Island and both my 3G and my friends 3GS are having 3G issues. When 3G is on, it shows 5 bars and no issues but no data will go through. Phone calls and text messages work, but that's it. When we switch to EDGE, data works, and very quickly I might add. Just curious if anyone else is having this problem, and wondering if it's a widespread issue. It could just be us, but I know data blackouts happen occasionally.

my 3gs stared doing that and it drove me crazy.
I was rebooting when it happened.
then I started throwing it in airplane mode then back to 3g
a lot quicker than rebooting

Yeah, we tried the basics like airplane mode, and restarting but nothings doing anything. Are you still having issues or did you get it working?

3G data is working again. I guess it was just us.
