The title says it all. My friend had 3.1.2 and went to 3.1.3 they had issues going back to 3.1.2. Is it possiable to go pack using Pawn to 3.1.2?

So I guess thats a no lol It is possiable to go one down like 3.1.1? or no.....

you can downgrade and jailbreak, but if you were relying on an unlock, then find a new phone until someone releases an unlock.

might i also add that your phone needs to be pwned to restore to a pwnage tool custom firmware file. so first, find the download for the 3.1.2 stock firmware file for the 3g, then restore to that, then jailbreak with redsn0w or blackra1n, create a custom firmware file using pwnage tool, and restore to the custom firmware file. this is if you want to do 3.1.2. theres jailbreaks for 3.1.3...and i think the new pwnage tool may support them, but not so sure.

I haven't been paying a lot of attention to this, since I'm still on 3.0.1 with a non-jailbroken 3G phone (I'm waiting for the next generation to JB the 3G) that has tethering thru the Stealth carrier hack, but I was wondering what would happen if I upgraded to 3.1.3. Would I be able to downgrade as easily as I did from 3.1.2 to 3.0.1 (I simply put the phone in DFU mode restore from a 3.0.1 ipsw and use QuickPwn to get out of the resulting error and then use the Stealth carrier .ipcc file)? In other words, could I use the same procedure, if for some reason I wanted to upgrade to 3.1.3 just for grins? It's hard to search for this, since you only get 3GS threads looking for 3G. Perhaps, it's been discussed, but I haven't seen it.

Yes, since you have a 3G it should be the same. If you decide to upgrade, though, you should definitely use a pwned firmware. No point in upgrading your baseband, even if you don't currently use an unlock.

Also, it's easy to re-enable tethering on a jailbroken phone, so there's really no reason not to upgrade and jailbreak if you want to.
