While built in 3G would be great I refuse to do it with AT&T. I hate the spotty, inconsistent, unreliable coverage and am looking forward to verizon devices. Really hope exclusivity goes away this year and apple brings on CDMA carriers.

Until then I'll use a verizon mifi to get coverage where wifi is not available.

I had the wifi and gave it to my vp when my 3G arrived yesterday. ATT 3G has worked perfectly and is much faster than I thought it would be but not as fast as my high speed wifi connections at home and office. I did not expect it to be.

To the poster above, ATT is far from being spotty in Jacksonville and provides full 3G every where I go. Nothing wrong with Verizon but ATT rules in my town.

I'm effortlessly browsing the web from an abandoned parking lot on my lunch break.

3G or bust.

I'm near Orlando, ATT is fine and I wouldn't even think twice about switching. I also don't treat a 3G signal like my 30mbps connection.

I wish I have waited to buy the 3G instead of the wifi, I have a 32gb wifi that I will trade in a heart beat for a 16gb 3G and add something extra, I engraved my ipad with my company logo but I would like to have the 3G version instead and I dont need to many memory, 16GB will be good.

I planned to, but was #6 in line at BB and they only had 5. So I'm sticking with my WiFi. And with the new jailbreak coming out shortly, I'll be able to JB my iPhone 3GS and set up a hotspot using my 3G signal... without paying another $30/month. So perhaps it wasn't meant to be.
