If I leave the 3G running when I know I am sitting near a wifi signal, is it draining the battery faster than if I turn off the 3G?

Or, if I am nowhere near a wifi, and on 3g,should I turn off wifi?

Thanks!

yes, turning off the other would definitely be beneficial to your battery life.

since when on 3G, and wifi antenna is on... it's constantly looking for networks

when on wifi, and 3g antenna is still on, it's continually maintaining a connection with the networks.

3G antenna takes up a lot more power than the WiFi one
