3g problem What do i do

I am getting a brand new iphone 3g and i have t-mobile. i heard that when u buy them new they already come with 3.0 on it. can i still jailbreak and unlock even though it on 3.0?....... Or should i just wait on getting it?

Tokiopop is right, Ultrasn0w, because even if it doesn't come with 3.0, it'll come with 2.2.1 which also isn't unlockable via yellowsn0w
