3G Pwn´d Ok, But Wont Recognise a different SIM?

I have a 3G from Movistar (Spain) and want to be able to use a UK PAYG Sim when i am in the UK instead of paying OTT Raoming charges.

Downloaded and installed the Pwnage Tool, everthing working perfectly on the jailbroken phone , native SIM, Wifi, Mail.. got the Cydia and Installer programs on phone, Pineapple Logo etc.

But the phone will not recognise a different SIM card. I have a vodafone SIM (again Spanish) which wont be recognised by the Iphone. No error message, just no service.

I went through the expert mode on Pwnage and deselected the activate checkbox.. tried everything i could think of... over to you guys .. i am stuck..

So does Pwnage Jailbreak or Unlock the phone? I'm confused.

Just because you Jailbroke it doesn't mean it's unlocked. Is there an unlock option in Pwnage?

Um... Nowyou have confused me. I thought that this tool Pwnage jailbroke the phone AND allowed you to unlock it... I guess i am wrong..

It jailbreaks both but unlocks only the original iphone. They haven't yet figured out how to unlock the new 3G version.

And require you to hack apart your SIM card and are questionable in their own right because there's some chance they will send some sort of signal that tips people off.

There are ways to unlock the iPhone 3G, but there is absolutely no software-type unlock. Pwnage will NOT unlock the iP3G.
