I have a stock (unhacked) 3G phone. When I'm on the phone I know the screen turns off when I have the phone to my ear. When I take the phone away from my ear, the screen turns on BUT only for a second and then turns off. And I can't turn it back on unless the call ends.

Anyone else with this problem? Does anyone have a fix?

Thanks!

you sure you're not covering any of the sensors on the upper part surrounding the speaker?
anyway, have you tried pressing the home button? or the volume thing? if it doesn't work I say give it a restore and then check again..

Previously, I tried pressing the Home button and that did nothing and even after a reset, I had the same problem. BUT after reading your post, I had one of those Ahhhh moments. I'm using my old 1st generation case and it must be covering the sensor. I took the case off, and the 3G works fine.

Thank you for your post! :)
