for those of you getting or indecisive about the 3G ver. due to the pricing of 3G data service thought this might help:

http://gizmodo.com/5459770/which-ipad-3g-data-plan-should-you-buy

idk if you all saw it but they broke down what 250MB a month would look like. for me, im torn between the wifi or 3g versions. im leaning towards 3G because i would rather have the feature and not use it than to not have it and need it at some point. the thing that sells me is the no contract. if i would have had to sign up for a contract with att than i wouldnt get the 3g version. i think judging by their guidelines i can make do with $15 for 3G every once in awhile. hopefully this helps you all.

The more I think about it, the more I think I will hold out for the 3G version.

I don't want to miss on two features, 3G, and GPS.

exactly. like i said, id rather have the feature and not use it that much than not have it and need it at some point. and the gps is a good idea, im envisioning this as not only a student (hoping pages works as well as it does in the video and better than word) but also in my car as an entertainment center for passengers etc on road trips and things.

Yeah Road Trips I can definitely see the GPS being awesome as a passenger.

Thanks for the link. That was a really useful breakdown of how 250MBs would work out in a month. I'm leaning slightly more towards the 3G model now (that is, if I ever decide to buy the iPad).
