3G wall charger charge iPhone?

I have a 3G iPod that came with wall charger and firewire to dock connector cable.

Will this be able to charge iPhone from wall, like it can 3G iPod?

(I suspect the answer is probably no, since iPhone doesn't have a firewire chipset?)
