iPhone 3G Will not DFU, stuck in recovery mode not detected by iTunes

hi me mateys

customer brought in an iPhone 3G, was told it was jailbroken by somebody and daughter then updated via iTunes.


@ boot up: apple logo appears > itunes connect picture appears then goes black after 20secs
iTunes WILL NOT detect it !! at any stage
DFU mode does not work !! countless attempts




I have even followed some bloke shorting out the LCD connector to get it into DFU mode with Power or Home ..caveman like but hey nada..

I have repaired and jailbroke many phones before, never have I seen this..

I know its been long, but im having the same problem, did u find a solution?
