3GS 3.1 jailbreak?

I used to be up to date with this stuff all the time but took a 3 month break so I have no clue what's going on... I have purplera1n 3.0 jailbreak on my 3GS, and I remember something about 2 files which I had to extract from my phone if I ever wanted to jailbreak again. I want to get the newest 3.1 update jailbreak with my 3GS. Isn't there also an app from cydia which I have to use to back my jailbreak up (cybackup?)?

Update to 3.1.2 and use blackra1n to jailbreak. Also I recommend not using cybackup as you probably will get problems using the backup when you update.

I would download RockApp and it will backup all your cydia packages on their server so you can easily redownload them. I agree with the previous poster, update to 3.1.2 and use blackra1n.
