Has anybody been able to install iphone 3GS firmware on an iPhone 3g?

Voice commands, video recording, editing and uploading.. nice features to have on an iphone 3G.

Is there a work around to do that? :D

My experience with jailbreak is that it'll get you CLOSE

but you'll never get the speed aspect

In fact when I jailbroke my old 3G it slowed it down

No.
Theres a few major things missing like the hardware to accomplish all thats on the 3GS like better video camera, faster processor, more RAM, compass etc...
You wont get the same experience no matter how much you try to hack it. The speed alone its the best improvement out of them all IMO.
And with backrounder you can multitask programs without even breaking a sweat since its got plenty of RAM to handle it.

+1 ^^^ There's more than just the firmware. JB will get you some of those features, but you'll definitely never be anywhere near the speed of the 3GS. Lag was always an issue with the 3G JB, as other posts have explained, but the battery was brutal on the 3G JB....:eek::eek:
