3gs jailbreak prep.

I have a 3gs on at&t but I don't want to loose unlock for when I sell it.

I currently am on 3.0.1 and its jailbroken. What do I have to do to prepare for the redsnow 3.1 when it comes out. I keep hearing things about chaning settings in itunes and saving files or something

Can someone give me a guide as to what I have to do so I can jailbreak as soon as they release it
