iPhone 3GS Jailbreak question on Blobs

Hi Guys ,

Im using an iPhone 3gs serial 88920****** ( earlier one i believe ) on BB 05.16.07

Locked ( to current network ) and on iOS6

I want an untethered jailbreak so as far as i can see i have to downgrade to 5.1.1 , just want to check a few things in case im about to loose something like i did updating my old 4's base band

So tiny umbrella says it has saved 5.0.1 blobs so am i right in assuming i can downgrade to that easy enough ? It threw me a bit as i have just bought this motherboard so it has never connected to my PC before and am worried it is picking up a previous one of my 3gs's details ( if thats possible )

Secondly if im ok downgrading is the right way to create a 5.0.1 ipsw with sn0w that has the bb preserved , then stitch the 5.0.1 blobs and restore , then create a preserved BB 5.1.1 and update ?

Think i got it , Just went ahead and it worked with those blobs wherever they came from

You can use latest redsn0w 09.15b3

Go to extras/even more/restore

Select downloaded 5.01 IPSW
select remite(cydia) or local shsh location

Follow instructions
