3Gs jailbreak

Sorry if this is posted somewhere guys ... but I can't get through these duplicate threads.

Is the only jailbreak option right now "Purplera1n"? I don't think i've seen the Dev team's release yet.

Also in regards to firmware, I only see the line "04.26.08" in my settings under Modem Firmware. Didn't this line use to be numbers and letters previously .. or was that with the 2.0, 2.1 firmwares, whatever.

I don't see any links for that specifically. I have done a 3G jailbreak recently after downloading the IPSW, but my 3GS didn't work with that IPSW. any help would be appreciated.

I don't know which IPSW to download before running redsn0w for my 3GS. Again the 3G went smoooooothly.

I googled "Redsn0w Instructions" and found this. For the Mac
