Having a weird issue.

Whenever an application accesses the speakers (both the dock speaker and the earpiece), the sound is sometimes very clear, and sometimes very distorted. The distortion is very 'scratchy', much like a record player in between songs on a badly scratched record (just static, in other words). But, this does not happen all the time. Sometimes the sound is just perfect. Can't seem to nail down a pattern. It's been happening 3 days.

And, sometimes the scratchy sound also continues past the normal sound of whatever was playing. Like if a text message notification comes in, the phone will make the normal sound (let's say the Bell Sound), but then the scratchy sound continues for 3-5 seconds, and then 'clicks' off.

And, sometimes the scratchy sound will be made when opening/closing/using applications, even if the application wasn't supposed to be making any sounds at all. I've even had it happen when just plugging in the dock charger after the bleep the phone makes to acknowledge the connector was just connected.

This happens with any app it seems, including standard installation apps (SMS, Safari, Mail, etc.), app store installed apps (Beejive, Navigon, TextNow, etc. etc.), and with Cydia installed apps.

I've done a restore, and the problem didn't appear for a few hours. But, it did start happening, even before I re-jailbroke with blackra1n.

Searched a good bit here, and all around with Google, but haven't been able to find much. I'm not sure it's just a blown speaker, as the sound comes through BOTH the earpiece and the dock speaker when this happens.

Anyone seen or heard anything like this? Any ideas?
