I just upgraded from the 1st gen (2g) iphone and loving it! Everything is so much faster and overall I'm very happy with everything but the camera. I feel the pictures lack even compared to my 1st gen. The pictures I take no matter the lighting situation are way darker than the actual item I'm taking a picture of. I miss my old camera :( Anyone else have this problem? If i take my phone to the apple store and can compare it to a new 3gs do you think they would exchange them?

Touch the darkest area in the photo while you're setting up your shot. It will auto-focus/auto-expose for that area.

Go to your local Apple store and try to shoot the same photo with both your phone and the phone they have there and see if there's any difference.. if there is, then try to talk to a Genius about it.

Or you can post/upload pictures over here? Also, you can take look here and see if the quality drastically alters from that and yours.
