3gs to 4s data swap problems

3gs is on ios5, most my apps won't even open on the 3gs. i have the 4s synced but none of my app data settings, messages or pics are on the 4s. how the heck do i port all that info to the 4s so i can wipe and sell the 3gs? something isn't right here.

You need to do a restore from backup (of the old phone) to the new phone.

Right click or control click on the phone in iTunes when connected, and select restore from backup. Then choose the backup from the old phone.
