Ok, so here's the fine print:
I upgraded to 3.1.2 a month ago...used blackra1n to JB...no issues...
used the commcenter patch hack to SSH into the phone to re-enable native tethering
I JUST found out I have not gotten any emails SINCE the tethering re-enabling due to the new carrier config file not being compatible with ATT's voicemail system
i called them, walked me through tech support, tier 2 tech support asked if I had the 'profile' tab in my General/Settings page...I said yes, then deleted it, and 5 seconds later, I had 30 voicemails appear that had not reached my phone in over a month...so, i deleted the file...all is good now
SO...is there a way to re-enable tethering yet still have my voicemails reach my iPhone?
are voicemails considered the SAME as visual voicemails??
I just ask because I hear visual voicemail used a lot, but I am wondering if someone's VVM DOESNT work, do you still RECEIVE voicemails, but have to call your mobile number to check them?
OR, if your VVM isnt working, will your VM not work either?
hope that makes sense...hehe
thanks in advance for any help...!
