Has anyone else noticed that Wifi seems slower on 3GS than on first gen 2G. This is over the same wireless network. Speedtest app has things slower and websites load a little slower too. Anyone else seen this? Thanks.

I have noticed that the 3GS is much faster than the 1st Gen iphone and the 3G. On my wireless network I get 12000kbps (fiber going to the wireless router). The 3G gets about 6000kbps.

Actually, I noticed the wifi reception on the 3GS is a bit worse than the 3G. I compared my 3G with a 3GS in the Apple store, both on wifi. My 3G had all 3 bars, the 3GS shuffled between 2 and sometimes even 1 bar.

Anyone else noticed this?

Ran some more tests. It seems that the 3Gs is slower than the 2G when the Wifi is active on the 2G. Once I turn that off on the 2G, the 3Gs is pretty fast. Weird.

3GS is my first iphone so cant really compare, but mine is dead slow on zyxel wifi router. I have wpa2 enabled. could that be the reason?
