iPhone 3gs world phone conversion! Help : )

Hello boys and girls! I have an iphone 3GS 32gb

Firmware is: 5.16.05
version 5.1.1 9B206
model MB717LL

Im heading to Europe this summer and would like to put and Orange SIM card in it! Can someone give me some insight in Jailbreaking this thing!? Thanks!

Jailbreaking is easy, use absinthe 2.

To use it abroad you need is an unlock, on your current BaseBand of 5.16.05 that is not possible, there is a workaround but that will only work on older 3GS's.

For that you need to upgrade the BB to the iPad BB 06.15.0 first and than dowgrade the BB to 5.13.04 using redsn0w.

Try reading up on it, use google and iclarified.com

right. I was installing the jailbrake and it just turned off. Anyhow i got it to start back up again, however i'm having a hard time finding how to install the BB 6.15.0, not to mention 5.13.04... any insight?

Before you try and install the iPad baseband, post your serial number if this is a newer 3GS
