3Gs's still have coating on them?

I just picked up a 32GB black 3Gs and I noticed lots of finger prints on it already...did Apple stop putting coating on them due to them peeling off after awhile? I'm just wondering because I notice no outside difference between my 3Gs and my 3G.

The screen should have the coating and the back should have silver writing if it's grey it's a 3g

Oh it's definitely silver and it says 3Gs on the box. Did I mention it's a 32GB?

its not smudge proof... just rub it on your shirt once.. and it willl look like you used windex... nice and perfectly clean

Ah ok...I thought it was a noticeable difference on the screen...guess I thought wrong...thanks. But damn do I love this phone...

Interesting. For me it is. Like I could rub my fingers all over it and it would barely show up compared to like seeing a whole layer of coating on the 3G's screen.
