I recently reinstalled everything from disks on my imac and now when i connect my ipod and move files from itunes to in they appear to go but the ipod shows 'no music', 'no photos' etc.

i have tried restoring the ipod, using different usb port, restarting imac and so on. Strangely, the ipod indicates it contains quite a bit of 'other' files indicated by orange on the capatity indicator bar in itunes and on the ipod itself but i don't think there's anything there.... any ideas?

thanks.

Do you sync or manually manage? If syncing, are the tracks in your playlist/library checked? Can you play them back in iTunes? Either way, did you reauthorize your Mac after the reinstall? Update the OS/iTunes/QuickTime, check for a software update for the iPod perhaps? If all else fails consider restoring the iPod and resyncing your iTunes content back over to it.

Hi JM, thanks for that. I manually manage, all software up to date etc.

Don't know what all the orange info could be?!?!
